Meet our team
Between our instructors working from our Malaga site, we have almost 90 years of experience in the transport industry. To say that we know how to handle heavy vehicles is an understatement.
Co-owner Ray has a relaxed and causal way of teaching. With over 30 years experience in the transport industry, Ray understands that the more comfortable you are, the easier it is for you to learn.
BJ is the youngest member of our team, however don't let his age fool you. BJ has over 11 years experience in the industry and is a very patient teacher.
How many lessons will I need?
A common question we get here at our Malaga training centre, is how many lessons a client needs before they're qualified to drive a heavy vehicle in the transport industry.
This is not an easy question to answer as everyone learns at a different pace and has different experience.
The times outlined here should therefore be viewed as a general guide only. You may find that with your experience you may require more or less than described.
HC, HR, and MC
HC - Approximately 2 to 10 two hour lessons with a lesson test from our yard.
HR - Automatic we can do in 2 hours, and test in one day.
All final tests are conducted at our yard by DOT.
MC - Somewhere between 2 and 6 two hours training, then final assessment (2 hours) this is all done within our company.

LR, MR, and HR
LR, MR - Approximately 2 to 4 hours of training followed by a test by an examiner. This can be done on the day.
HR - Open double clutching trucks between 5 to 10 hours, then test with examiner HR-B Synchromesh truck between 3 to 6 hours, then test with the examiner.
